Ervin D. Hochstetler
                              December 21, 1923 ~ March 25, 2017

Ervin D. Hochstetler, 93, of LaGrange, died at 4:45 am on Saturday, March 25,
at the home of his daughter, Wilma Schrock, in Shipshewana. He was born
on December 21, 1923 in Topeka to Dan and Anna (Wickey) Hochstetler. On
December 21, 1950 in Topeka he married Sarah J. Miller, she died November
9, 1978, and then on May 26, 1983 in Centreville, MI he married Polly D.  
Bontrager, she died February 28, 2017. Surviving are six daughters,
MaryAnna (Lloyd) Miller of Topeka, Irene (Ora Jay) Eash of Trego, MT, Wilma
(Elmer) Schrock of Shipshewana, Ida Mae Hochstetler of LaGrange, Luella
(William) Schrock of LaGrange, Katie (John) Troyer of Manton, MI; 49
grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren; two brothers, Dan (Edna) Hochstetler
of Shipshewana and John (Katie) Hochstetler of LaGrange; two sisters, Mary
(Ora, deceased) Miller of LaGrange and Edna (Merle) Christner of
Shipshewana. He was preceded in death by his wives; parents; two
granddaughters; three great grandchildren; brother, Amos Hochstetler;
sister, Barbara Yoder. Ervin was self-employed as a small engine mechanic
for most of his life and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 26, all day Monday, March
27, at James Hochstetler residence, 3035 West 350 South LaGrange. Funeral
services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, March 28, at Sunrise Metal Shop,
3070 West 350 South Topeka. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ervin
Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery,
LaGrange. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of
