Erin Richelle Schlabach, 34, of Goshen, went to be with her Lord and Savior
at the scene of a motorcycle accident at 8:29 pm on Tuesday, October 1,
2019. She was born on March 3, 1985 in Goshen to Bob and Sharon (Miller)
Smith. On August 30, 2014 in Goshen she married Eli  Schlabach, he
survives. Surviving in addition to her husband and her parents are a brother,
Lyle (Katie) Smith of Fort Wayne; a sister, Lauren (Fred) Unternahrer of
Ligonier; grandparents, Floyd and Anna Barbara Miller of LaGrange. She was
preceded in death by her grandparents, Dan and Shirley Smith. Erin was a
faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was actively pursuing her faith which
included a weekly Bible Study at Griner Church. She was known for her
caring heart for others, a skill that she was able to use when she was a
Certified Nursing Assistant; she also had the remarkable ability to listen to
people and in her quiet nature offered them support. She was passionate
about music and was involved with Life Action Ministries. She often enjoyed
walking with her husband and others allowing her to spend quiet one-on-one
time together. She was currently assisting her husband with a milk hauling
route for Eagle Transport. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday,
October 6, and one hour prior to the 11:00 am  funeral service on Monday,
October 7, at Griner Church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Gordon
Henke and Lay Leader Tim Miller. Burial will be in Griner Cemetery. Because
of her love for children, memorials contributions may be given to The Farm.

To all of Erin's family, Our hearts break with each one of you. Though I had
tracked with the accident on local news I had no idea this was the Erin who
traveled with our road team ministry. Had I known, we would have been there
last night or this morning to wrap our arms around you all, pray with you,
and tell you that we love you. Such a tragic story and loss but what an
exemplary life. Please know all of our Life Action family grieve with you and
pray His supernatural grace and peace will be beyond all comprehension as
you walk through this valley. We are just up the road and fully available to
help any way we can. We loved Erin and therefore all the family. We are
trusting Him with you to meet all your need. With prayers, much love and
thankfulness for Erin's life.
From: Byron and Sue Paulus and all of Life Action Family.
