Elva B. Wysong
Elva B. Wysong, 89, of Goshen, died at 8:30 am, on Friday, May 9, at Waterford
Crossing Apartments, Goshen. She had been in declining health for a couple
of years. She was born on February 3, 1925, in Goshen, to Daniel R. and Ida R.
(Schrock) Miller. On September 2, 1944 in Goshen she married Burdette "Ike"
Wysong, he died April 12, 2008. Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Steve)
Fisher of Goshen, Jolene (Willie) Coates of South Bend; five grandchildren,
seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; a sister, Virginia (Ernie)
Miller of Sarasota, FL; and her dear caregiver, Lois Galvan. She was preceded
in death by her husband and parents. She was a lifelong member of Clinton
Frame Mennonite Church where she was active in the Women’s Sewing
Circle and a longtime member of the Clinton Classics Extension Homemakers
Club. She was a homemaker and in her early adult years she worked as a
cook at the Goshen Sale Barn. She later went to work at Vickie Jeans in
Goshen and then worked many years for Starcraft in Emma. After moving to
the Waterford Complex, Elva was grateful for the many new friendships and
the staff often commented to the family what a loving and joyful person she
was. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday May 12, at
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Funeral
services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday May 13, at Clinton Frame Mennonite
Church, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastors Terry Diener and
Matt Yoder. Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may
be given for sewing activities of the Clinton Frame Mennonite Women.

Our prayers are with you all at this time  What a great women she was  loving
God  and living her life here so she  could reach her heavenly home. I know
how much she loved her family and how you loved her! I will  remember  her
smile  and how kinda she always was..

Jolene and Diane, our prayers and thoughts are with you. We enjoyed seeing
your Mom briefly when we were up there in February. May God be with your
