Elizabeth Byler, 86, of Shipshewana, died at 5:45 pm, on Thursday, January
2, at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1927, in Nappanee, to John G.
and Lovina (Burkholder) Byler. Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Anna Byler of
Nappanee, Ella Byler of Lagrange; and a host of nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mary Miller and Lydia Mae
Miller, three brothers, Joe, Lester and Elmer Byler. She was a member of the
Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 4:00 pm on Friday January 3,
and all day Saturday January 4, at the Mahlon Lambright Residence 2885 N.
550 W. Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Sunday January
5, at the Phillip Schlabach residence, 5190 W. 300 N. Shipshewana. Services
will be conducted by Bishop Jacob Jones and home ministers. Burial will be
in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
