Elizabeth C. Yoder
September 2, 1939 -- May 20, 2015
Elizabeth C. Yoder, 75, of Middlebury, died at 11:56 am, Wednesday, May 20
at her residence after a six month battle with cancer. She was born on
September 2, 1939, in Wayne County, OH, to Christ and Mary (Troyer) Yoder.
On January 10, 1963 in Ohio she married Daniel A. Yoder, he died November
25, 2013. Surviving are four daughters, Martha (Elvin) Schrock of Colby, WI,
Susie (Walter) Helmuth of Wakarusa, Edna (Wendell) Zimmerman of Goshen,
Delilah Mears of Goshen; four sons, Andrew (Martha) Yoder of Minerva, OH,
Moses (Meg) Yoder of Constantine, MI, Jonathan (Anna) Yoder of Goshen, IN,
Henry (Norma) Yoder of Clarkson, KY; 28 grandchildren, two great
granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two
grandchildren, three sisters, Amanda, Susie, and Mattie Yoder, eight brothers,
Benjamin, Andrew, Dan, Pete, Levi, Jonathan, Rudy, and Mose Yoder and an
infant brother. She was a member of Fairhaven Mennonite Church and a
homemaker in addition to working at Peddler's Village Restaurant as a grill
cook for 30 years, retiring at the age of 65. She loved to cook and quilt.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 21 and 2:00 pm -
4:00 pm and 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, Friday, May 22 at Fairhaven Mennonite
Church, 13513 State Road 4, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on
Saturday, May 23 also at the church. Services will be conducted by Bishop
Wilbur Yoder and Pastor Dale Hochstetler. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery,
Goshen. Memorials may be given to Fairhaven Mennonite Church.
