Elizabeth "Liz" Miller, 83, of Goshen, passed away at 1:35 am on Thursday,
February 8, at Goshen Health Hospital from the result of an apparent heart
attack. She was born on January 1, 1935 in Middlebury to Samuel E. and
Millie (Bontrager) Weirich. On June 7, 1953 in Middlebury she married Wilbur
L. Miller, he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband are a son, Jerry
(Janet) Miller of Dayton, OH; four daughters, Connie (Joe) Sample of Goshen,
Vickie (Scott) Blaisdell of Ottawa Lake, MI, Kathy (Daniel) Kreager and Wanda
(Darrell) Moore all of Goshen; 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two
sisters, Mary Weaver and Lydia Mae (Paul) Ganger all of Goshen; two
brothers, Joas (Pat) Weirich and Samuel (Verna) Weirich, Jr. all of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jason Miller, and four
brothers, Enos, Levi, Eli and Manasses Weirich. Liz was a homemaker and
had done residential house cleaning. She was an avid sports fan, specifically
for the Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame. She was a member of the Jefferson
Community Church, enjoyed playing cards, especially with her sister, and
loved spending time with her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00
pm on Monday February 12, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main
Street Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February
13, also at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Pastor Ken Hunn.
Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given
to Time To Revive.
