Eli C. Troyer
Eli C. Troyer, 70, of Shipshewana, died at 9:03 am on Saturday, November
16 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, LaGrange.  He was born on June 9, 1943
in Topeka to Crist and Susie (Yoder) Troyer.  On April 7, 1966 in Middlebury
he married Ruby M. Miller, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are
five daughters - Susie (Dan) Beechy of Millersburg, Wilma (David)
Hochstetle, Leora (Amos) Hochstetler both of Topeka, Marlene (Vernon)
Lehman of Shipshewana, Esther (Richard) Miller of LaGrange; four sons -
Howard (Betty) Troyer of Hayden, ID, Vernon (Mary) Troyer of LaGrange,
Crist (Linda) Troyer of Shipshewana, David Troyer of Shipshewana; 28
grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, 10 step
great-grandchildren; two brothers - Andrew (Mary) Troyer of Shipshewana,
Levi (Viola) Troyer of Middlebury; four sisters - Lydia Ann (Sam) Kauffman
of Shipshewana, Mary (Dan) Schrock of Shipshewana, Amanda (John) Miller
of Fort Wayne, Fannie Troyer of FL.  He was preceded in death by his
parents; a sister, Katie Troyer; a granddaughter, Sharon Sue Miller. Eli was
a farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be
after 1:00 pm on Sunday November 17 and all day Monday, November 18 at
the family's residence, 6395 West 200 North Shipshewana. Funeral services
will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday November 19 at the Roy Yoder residence,
6555 West 200 North Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Bishop
Vernon  Slabach and the home ministers. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery,
Shipshewana. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury is in charge of
