Eli M. Chupp

                                     July 20, 1929 -- December 4, 2016

Eli M. Chupp, 87, of Shipshewana, died at 9:49 pm on Sunday, December 4, at
Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, from complications of blood
clots. He was born on July 20, 1929 in Arthur, IL, to Jacob and Mattie
(Herschberger) Chupp.  On May 20, 1952 in Shipshewana he married Anna
Weirich; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are five daughters,
Betty (Mark) Miller of Carrier Mills, IL, Esther (Larry) Yoder of Middlebury,
Carolyn (Edwin) Beechy of Millersburg, Loretta (Robert) Otto of
Shipshewana, Linda (Wilbur, Jr) Mast of Mentone; son, Eugene (Laura)
Chupp of Three Rivers, MI; 29 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, three
great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Edna Schrock and Clara (Edward)
Schrock both of Arthur, IL, Wilma (Eli) Yoder of Crab Orchard, KY;
sister-in-law, Esther Chupp of Bristol; three brothers, Lewis (Mary) Chupp,
Edward (Verna) Chupp and Omer (Lorene) Chupp all of Arthur, IL.  He was
preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Elizabeth Arkeketa,
daughter-in-law, Roseanna Chupp and brother, Joas Chupp. Eli was a
farmer, a member of Fairhaven Mennonite Church and drove van for ARC
Opportunities for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and a very talented
woodworker, providing many gifts for family, friends and benefit auctions.
Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 pm on Tuesday December 6, and 2:00 - 4:00
and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church,
13513 State Road 4 Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on
Thursday, December 8, also at the Church. Services will be conducted by the
Fairhaven Ministry Team. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorials may be given to ARC Opportunities of LaGrange.
