July 10, 1931 -- May 21, 2016

Edna Bontrager, 84, of Shipshewana, died at 4:20 pm on Saturday, May 21
at her residence. She was born on July 10, 1931 in Arthur, IL, to Eli and
Lovina (Hershberger) Mast. On Feb. 14, 1952 in Shipshewana, she married
Ray J. Miller; he died on April 2, 1991. On December 13, 1992 in
Shipshewana she married Mahlon M. Bontrager, he survives. Survivors in
addition to her husband are three daughters, Sue Ann (Homer) Mullet of
Kingston, WI, Ida (Omer) Hochstetler of Shipshewana, Marlene (Don)
Schrock of Goshen; two sons, Harley Miller and Howard (Andrea Kelly-
special friend) Miller both of LaGrange; four step-daughters, Etta Fern
(Marvin) Yoder of Goshen, LeAnna (Levi) Barkman of Millersburg, Velda
Wingard of Topeka and Rosemary (Orva Jr.) Hostetler both of Topeka; five
step-sons, Ernest (Martha) Bontrager of Topeka, Dean (Erma) Bontrager,
Dannie (Rosa) Bontrager, and Orla (Carolyn) Bontrager all of Shipshewana,
Elva Bontrager of Middlebury; 15 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 54
step grandchildren, 124 step great grandchildren; three brothers, Eli (Betty)
Mast, John (Janet) Mast, and Levi (Edna) Mast all of Goshen.  She was
preceded in death by her first husband, parents, step-son, Norman
Bontrager, step son-in-law, Jerry Wingard, three sisters, Lizzie Ann Miller,
Lucy Gingerich, and Fannie Yoder, three brothers, Jerry, Andy, and Mel
Mast, three step grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter. She had
wintered in Sarasota, Florida for the last 23 years. She was a homemaker
and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 1:00
pm on Sunday, May 22 and all day Monday, May 23 at the Danny Bontrager
Residence, 1905 N 1100 West, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at
9:30 am on Tuesday, May 24 also at the Danny Bontrager Residence.
Services will be conducted by Bishop Ernie Troyer and the home ministers.
There will also be a forenoon visitation followed by an afternoon funeral
service in Kingston, WI on Wednesday, May 25. Burial will be in North Scott
Cemetery, Columbia County, WI, on Wednesday afternoon, May 25.

Makes me sad! I am sorry for your loss. I had the best company and pizza
ever with her, Ida, Marlene, Harley and others. Very sweet lady will be
