Doyle W. Yeager
Doyle Wilton Yeager, 88, of Elkhart, died at 6:30 am, on Tuesday,
December 5, at Hubbard Hill Estates. He was born on August 2, 1929, in
Colo, IA, to Florian J. and Mildred (Elder) Yeager. On November 19, 1955
in Takoma Park, MD he married Hilda Long; she died October 19, 2001.
Surviving are son, Doyle Alan (Laura) Yeager of Bristol; five
grandchildren, Lloyd D. Yeager of Fort Wayne, Beatrice G. Yeager,
Ellianna N. Yeager, Alyvia L. Yeager, Sydney J. Yeager all of Bristol. He
was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two brothers, Wayne
and Dwight Yeager. He was a member of Beulah Missionary Church and
served in the Navy during the Korean War. His grandchildren were his
pride and joy, and he enjoyed gardening and was a huge baseball
fanatic. He retired as a Bank Auditor after 35 years. He also served as
the treasurer at church. Later in life he played the clarinet in the New
Horizon's Band. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 4:00 pm on Sunday,
December 10 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street,
Middlebury, and one hour prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on
Tuesday, December 12 at Hubbard Hill Estates, 28070 CR 24, Elkhart.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Bill Richardson. Burial will be in
Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Memorials may be given to Hubbard
Hill Memory Care.
