December 22, 1927 -- May 2, 2017

Dorothy E. (Lantz) Bontrager, 89, of Goshen, died at 1:55 pm, on Tuesday,
May 2, at the Courtyard of Goshen. She was born on December 22, 1927, in
Topeka, to Earl and Louella (Yoder) Lantz. On July 11, 1948 she married
Edwin Bontrager; he died December 5, 1981, she later married Peter Lichti;
he died February 16, 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Kathryn
Thompson of New Paris, Glenda (Norm) Miller of Goshen; son, Larry
(Karen) Bontrager of Topeka; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren,
one great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Betty Kauffman of Goshen,
Mary Etta Morton of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her
parents, both husbands, an infant son, two brothers, Harold and Kenneth
Lantz. Dorothy was a member of Clinton Frame Church and had provided
transportation for the Amish. She loved her flower garden, enjoyed
crocheting, quilting and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am on Friday May 5, followed by an 11:00
am funeral service at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street
Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastors Matthew Yoder and
Danny Yoder. Burial will be in Townline Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorials
may be given to Great Lakes Hospice.
