David "Mike" Seymour
February 8, 1943 -- July 11, 2020
David “Mike” Seymour, 77, of Middlebury, died at 11:54 pm on Saturday, July
11, at Goshen Health Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born on February
8, 1943 in Saint Paul, MN, to David Fred and Eveline M. (Peacock) Seymour.
On October 6, 1983 in Toledo, OH he married Betty Weaver, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are son, David, Jr. (Becky) Seymour of
Jackson, MI; granddaughter, Tricia L. Seymour of Charlotte, MI;
stepdaughter, Susan M. Weaver of Owensboro, KY; brother, Mark T. Seymour
of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Jeffery
Weaver. Mike worked as an over the road truck driver hauling mobile homes
for most of his life; he delivered homes for Star Fleet Transportation and
Schult Homes. He had logged more than one million miles in his truck and
also had worked for Bontrager Excavating. He was a US Navy veteran
serving from 1960 to 1964 and was stationed on the USS Lexington aircraft
carrier. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on his back deck feeding the
wild animals. The family will be holding private funeral services.
