David J. Yoder
                              May 15, 1941 -- February 6, 2021

David J. Yoder, 79, of Shipshewana, passed away February 6, at his
winter residence in Sarasota, FL. He was born May 15, 1941 in
Holmes County, Ohio to the late Jacob and Sarah (Yoder) Yoder. On
August 8, 1963 he married Ida Troyer; she survives. Survivors in
addition to his wife are children, Marilyn (Richard) Miller, Carolyn
(Felty) Slabach, Vernon (Ruth) Yoder, Betty (Harley) Yoder, David
(Becky) Yoder all of Shipshewana; daughter-in-law, Lori Yoder; 23
grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Jacob (Anna)
Yoder, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Miller and Betty (Roy) Raber; two
sisters-in-law, Nettie Yoder and Verba Yoder. David was preceded in
death by his parents; son, Marvin Yoder; two grandsons, Aaron and
Joshua Yoder; two brothers, Paul and Eli Yoder. David was a
member of the Old Order Amish Church and attended the First
Pinecraft Amish Church in Sarasota, FL. David worked at a liquid
fertilizer plant. He and his wife started going to Sarasota as snow
birds in 1995. He enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends and
family. There was a visitation on Saturday, February 6, at the First
Pinecraft Amish Church, Sarasota, FL. Visitation in Indiana will be
after 2:00 pm on Monday, February 8 and all day Tuesday, February
9 at the Kevin Miller residence, 2920 N. 850 W., Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, February 10 at
the Joe Schrock residence, 2780 N. 850 W., Shipshewana. Services
will be conducted by Bishop Christy Troyer and the home
ministers. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, assisted the family with
arrangements in Indiana and Maloney Funeral Home assisted in
Sarasota, Florida.
