David Weaver, 82, of Shipshewana, died at 8:10 pm on Sunday, April 9, at his
residence. He was born on July 23, 1934 in LaGrange County, to David and
Alice (Hostetler) Weaver. On January 19, 1956 in LaGrange County he
married Martha Ellen Schrock; she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife
are two daughters, Mary Etta (Ben) Mullet of Milford, Vera (Steve) Chupp of
Goshen; four sons, Verlyn (Deborah) Weaver of Topeka, Wilbur Weaver of
Howe, David Weaver, Jr. of Topeka, Maynard (Linda) Weaver of Goshen; 24
grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; four brothers, Vernon (Elva) Weaver
and LeRoy (Ida) Weaver both of LaGrange, Freeman (Norma) Weaver of Mesa,
AZ, Mervin (Joan) Weaver of Nappanee; two sisters, Mary Jane Bontrager of
Shipshewana, Wilma Weaver of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his
parents, son, Darrel Weaver, brother, Wilbur Weaver. He was a farmer and a
member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 3:00 pm on
Monday April 10, and all day Tuesday, April 11, at the family's residence, 8020
W. 050 N., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday,
April 12, at the Calvin Miller residence, 0700 N. State Rd. 5, Shipshewana.
Services will be conducted by Bishop Calvin Miller and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.
