Daniel Schwartz
                                         February 3, 1947 ~ March 7, 2018

Daniel Schwartz, 71, of Goshen, died at 4:50 pm on Wednesday, March 7, at his
residence. He was born on February 3, 1947 in Allen County, to Christian and Emma
(Graber) Schwartz.  On August 22, 1968 in Goshen he married Mary Zehr; she
survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are six daughters, Anita (Stanley) Yoder of
Etna Green, Emma Schwartz of Goshen, Martha (Kevin) Yoder of Topeka, Sara
(Myron) Yoder of Nappanee, Verna (Dennis) Yoder of Middlebury, Anna Mary (Clyde)
Lambright of Goshen; five sons, David (Retha) Schwartz, Daniel Jr. (Susan)
Schwartz, Lonnie (Lora) Schwartz, Joseph (Margaret) Schwartz and James (special
friend Elisa Miller) Schwartz all of Goshen; 48 grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara
Schmucker of New Haven, Verna Graber and Anna (Eli) Lengacher both of Grabill;
two brothers, Chris (Betty) Schwartz of Goshen, Amos (Lillian) Schwartz of Grabill;
four step brothers, Amos (Rebbecca) Miller and Jacob (Mary) Miller both of Grabill,
David (Leah) Eicher of New Haven, Joe (Anna) Eicher of Grabill; three step sisters,
Rosa Miller of Grabill, Elizabeth Schwartz of New Haven, Lucy (Arthur) Schmucker
of Grabill.  He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Rosa Miller, step
father, Andrew Eicher, two brothers-in-law, Jonas Schmucker, Robert Graber, two
step brothers, John Miller, Jr. and Samuel (Martha) Miller, step brother-in-law,
Joeseph Schwartz. Daniel was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was
self-employed in woodworking for 17 years. He was ordained as minister in 1984
and later became Bishop on April 23, 2006. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on
Thursday March 8, and all day Friday, March 9, at the family's residence, 15563 State
Rd. 4, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, March 10, also at the
family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop James Schlabach and the
home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen.
