Daniel W. Raber            
                                   November 6, 1936 -- June 15, 2019

Daniel “Danny” W. Raber, 82, of Ligonier, died at 9:45 am on Saturday, June
15 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, due to complications
from a bicycle accident. He was born on November 6, 1936 in Holmes
County, OH, to Wyman and Amanda (Troyer) Raber. On May 16, 1963 in
Topeka, he married Mary Alice Yoder, she survives. Survivors in addition to
his wife are two daughters, Leona Ruth (Daniel) Hochstetler of Ligonier, Esta
Marlene (Ray) Yoder of Millersburg; son, Jerry Lee Raber of Portland, OR;
eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arie (Arliegh)
Schlabach, Ida (Andy) Miller both of Holmes County, OH; five brothers, Eli
(Gladys) Raber, Freeman (Melva) Raber, Henry (Clara) Raber, Owen (Anna)
Raber all of Holmes County, OH, Junior (Jennie) Raber of Sarasota, FL;
brother-in-law, Robert Wengard of Holmes County, OH. He was preceded in
death by his parents and three sisters, Lizzie Wengard, Ada Raber and Esta
Raber. Daniel worked many years in the mobile home industry. After retiring,
he and Mary Alice spent winters in Florida where he was an excellent
handyman to his friends and neighbors. He was a member of the Old Order
Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 16 and all day
Monday, June 17 at the family residence, 8769 N. 700 W., Ligonier. Funeral
services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, June 18 at the Ferman Miller
residence, 8600 N. 700 W., Ligonier. Services will be conducted by Bishop
Dean Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery,
Topeka. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with
