Crist D. Nissley
                                 March 17, 1933 -- April 26, 2015

Crist D. Nissley, 82, of Topeka, died at 7:30 am, on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at
his residence. He was born on March 17, 1933, in Sumner, KS. to David and
Mary (Troyer) Nissley. On May 9, 1957 in Topeka he married Fannie Mae Miller,
she died April 12, 1996. Surviving are four sons, David Wayne (Carolyn)
Nissley of Topeka, Daniel Ray (Luetta) Nissley of Shipshewana, Freeman Jay
(Ann) Nissley of Millersburg, LaVern (Dorene) Nissley of Goshen; four
daughters, Clara Fern (Mervin) Hochstetler of LaGrange, Kathryn (Glen)
Hochstetler of Millersburg, Rosemary (Nelson) Slabach of Millersburg,
Dorothy (Olen) Yoder of Topeka; 48 Grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren;
sister, Susie (Melvin) Miller of Topeka; two step-sisters, Rosie (Levi) Eash of
Topeka and Ruby Oliver of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his
parents; step-mother, Sarah Nissley; wife; grandson, Mervin Hochstetler, Jr.;
sister, Fannie Beechy. Crist was a farmer for most of his life; he had also
worked in area factories and in retirement dealt in antiques. He was a member
of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Monday
April 27, and all day Tuesday April 28, at family’s residence, 5850 West 600
South Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday April 29, at
the Lloyd Lambright residence, 5430 West 600 South Topeka.  Services will
be conducted by Bishop Dan J. Yoder and the home ministers. Burial will be
in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
