Chris H. Yoder
                                         June 26, 1945 -- December 5, 2013

Chris H. Yoder, 68, of Middlebury, died at 7:40 pm on Thursday, December 5, at his
residence after a three month battle with cancer. He was born on June 26, 1945 in
Hutchinson, KS, to Henry C. and Susan (Knepp) Yoder. On May 16, 1968 in
Middlebury he married Esther J. Bontrager, she survives. Survivors in addition to
his wife are seven daughters, Josephine (Harvey) Miller, Ruth (Alvin) Bontrager
and Regina (Orvan) Miller all of Newaygo, MI, Naomi (Daniel) Bowman of Gosport,
Rebecca (Noah) Miller of Middlebury, Dorothy (David) Hochstetler of Leroy, MI,
Treva (Daniel) Beechy of LaGrange; a son, David (Mae) Yoder of Middlebury; 50
grandchildren; six brothers, Tobie (LeAnna) Yoder of Middlebury, John (Norma
Jean) Yoder of Sarasota, FL, Daniel (Mary Etta) Yoder and Henry (Edna Ellen) Yoder
both of LaGrange, Enos (Lizzie Mae) Yoder of Millersburg, Levi Ray (Clara Mae)
Yoder of Middlebury; six sisters, Anna Mae (Joe) Borntrager of Bonduel, WI, Ruby
(Alvin) Schrock of Middlebury, Lizza (Levi) Weaver of Topeka, Katie Alice Reiling of
Howe, Wilma Irene (Homer) Miller of Shipshewana, Cora Sue (Leroy) Miller of
Millersburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Christian Miller,
two brothers, Eli Jay Yoder, and an infant brother. He was a member of the Old
Order Amish Church having been a deacon for 20 years. Visitation will be after 1:00
pm on Saturday December 7, and all day Sunday, December 8, at the family
residence, 54753 CR 43, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday
December 9, at the Noah Miller residence, 54738 CR 43, Middlebury. Services will
be conducted by Bishop Perry Mast and the home ministers. Burial will be in
Stutzman-Mast Cemetery, Middlebury.
