February 26, 1989 -- November 29, 2019
Charity Cecelia Richardson-Pontius, 30, of Middlebury, passed away
unexpectedly at 5:53 pm on Friday, November 29, at her residence. Her death
was due to natural causes. She was born on February 26, 1989 in Elkhart, to
Stephen Pontius of Edwardsburg, MI and Linda (Richardson) Pontius of
Middlebury. Survivors in addition to her parents are two daughters, Alexis
Pontius and Addie Pontius both at home; three brothers, Zach (Joeleanna)
Pontius of Goshen, Elijah Ralls of Middlebury, Stephen Pontius of
Edwardsburg, MI; sister, Kaleigh Pontius of Edwardsburg, MI; two
grandmothers, Alice Pontius of Moore Haven, FL and Jan Richardson of
Elkhart; stepfather, Stacy Miller and step brothers, Cole and Cody Miller all of
Middlebury. Charity was employed at Taco Bell, Middlebury where she has
worked since 2006. She attended Waypoint Community Church, Goshen and
enjoyed dolphins and horses. She loved looking at Christmas lights and
often did road trips with her family to see the different Christmas light
displays. She liked spending time with her friends and was known for her
contagious laugh. Her biggest love in life was her daughters. Visitation will
be from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, and one hour prior to the
10:00 am funeral service on Friday, December 6, all at the Waypoint
Community Church, 56893 County Road 29 Goshen. Services will be
conducted by Pastor Blair Carlstrom. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery,
Middlebury. Memorials may be given to Waypoint Community Church, where
funds will be used to adopt a family for Christmas.

Charity was one of my best friends in Elementry School. We lost touch when
she changed schools, but reconnected briefly a few years ago, but life got in
the way and we lost touch again. She was the nicest person in our class, and
I know she will be deeply missed.

Charity was a wonderful person, great neighbor and the best mom ever. She
