Calvin T. Lambright
Calvin T. Lambright, 87, of Topeka, died at 1:55 pm on Sunday, December 21,
at his residence. He was born on June 2, 1927 in LaGrange County to Tobias
and Lizzie (Troyer) Lambright. On February 24, 1949, in Topeka, he married
Ida Miller, she died December 1, 2011. Surviving are son, Gary Lambright of
Topeka; two daughters, Mary Etta (Larry) Otto of Shipshewana and Ruth Ann
(Gerald) Miller of Topeka; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Freeman (Susan) Lambright of Middlebury and Harley (Ida)
Lambright of Topeka; a sister, Viola (John) Miller of Topeka; two sisters-in-
law, Anna Lambright of Topeka and Ada Lambright of Ava, IL; a brother-in-
law, Eli (Elizabeth) Miller of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents;
wife; a son, Richard Lambright; four brothers, Omer, Joas, Richard and
Leland Lambright; two sisters, Orpha Bontrager and LeAnna Miller. Calvin
was a retired farmer and was ordained as a minister in the Old Order Amish
Church in 1971, he was currently serving as Senior Bishop. Visitation will be
after 2:00 pm on Monday, December 22, and all day Tuesday, December 23, at
the family’s residence, 6405 West 550 South Topeka. Funeral services will be
at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 24, also at the family’s residence.
Services will be conducted by Bishop David Miller and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
