March 23, 1958 -- July 9, 2020

Benjamin I. Killian III, 62, of Middlebury, died at 9:49 pm on Thursday, July 9,
at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born on March 23, 1958 in Elkhart,
to Benjamin and Jane Ann (Niles) Killian. Surviving are his fiancée, Carol
Magee of Middlebury; sister, Diane Demas of White Pigeon, MI; one niece,
Courtney Alber, five nephews, Greg Baker, Eric Demas, Chris Demas, Matt
Killian, David J. Killian and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was
preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Killian. Ben worked at
Forest River as a purchasing agent and was a member of the Sons of the
American Legion, Middlebury Post 210. He loved his dogs, going hunting and
fishing and spending time on his boat. He also enjoyed tinkering and fixing
things. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 16 followed by
a 6:00 pm funeral service at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main
Street, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Mike Overpeck.
Memorials may be given to Dogtown Resort. The family and funeral home
request that anyone attending the services wear a facemask.
