Amos C. Yoder
Amos C. Yoder, 64, of Shipshewana, died on Monday, September 9
at the scene of a two vehicle accident on State Road 5 near Topeka.
He was born on January 22, 1949 in LaGrange to Andrew A. and
Clara (Miller) Yoder. Surviving are two sons - Aaron Yoder of
Wolcottville and Sean Yoder of Greencastle; two grandsons -
Nathan and Amos Andrew Yoder; granddaughter - Ashtin Yates;
seven sisters - Mattie (David) Fry of Topeka, Clara (Joe) Slabach of
Middlebury, Lizzie (Marvin) Kauffman of Millersburg, Katie (Alfred)
Kauffman of Middlebury, Mary (Steve) Loy of Shipshewana, Ida
(Crist) Miller of Shipshewana, Rose (Don) Wideman of Ottertail, MN;
five brothers - Perry (Rose) Yoder of Middlebury, John (Joyce)
Yoder of Lagrange, Ora (Frankie) Yoder of Goshen, Mahlon Yoder of
Shipshewana, Andrew (Rose) Yoder, Jr. of Shipshewana. He was
preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Edna Taylor, Wilma
Kurtz, Ella Yoder. He was a member of the Maple Grove Church in
Topeka and was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam for several
years. Visitation will be from 2 - 8 pm on Wednesday and one hour
to the 10:30 am funeral service on Thursday all at the Maple Grove
Church.  Services will be conducted by Pastor Barry St. Clair.
Burial, with a military graveside service, will be in Maple Grove
Cemetery, Topeka. Memorials may be given to the funeral home to
assist the family with expenses.
